On the 22nd of May 2020, Frigel announced the launch of its Heat Rejection Systems Division. This division was created with the sole focus of business and product development for new industries and applications to enter with. Their main focus for this will be the Ecodry adiabatic cooler.
With the launch of this Heat Rejection Systems Division, Frigel’s objective is to launch the larger version of the Ecodry adiabatic cooler by the first quarter of 2021. This launch is to address the increasing demand for larger scaled cooling capacity across industries. This increased demand is also due to the increased awareness of the environmental and health challenges we face. Therefore more industries are looking for more environmentally-friendly solutions.
Gyula Szekeres, a board member responsible for business development within Frigel, said that the new division is going to contribute to some of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. For example, the division will contribute to areas of the UN’s sustainable development goals like clean water and sanitisation and industry, innovation and infrastructure.
The Ecodry adiabatic cooler satisfies these requirements as well as those of Frigel’s customers. The adiabatic cooler accounts for up to a 95% reduction in water usage compared to an open cooling tower. It is also able to reduce water usage by 60% compared to closed cooling towers. All of this is achieved while maintaining energy efficiency.
This is just the first of many advancements the new Heat Rejection Systems Division will be responsible for.
